Award Recipients

St Helens Chamber is proud to have achieved the King’s Award for Enterprise for Promoting Opportunity – a highly prestigious award for UK businesses.

St Helens Chamber is a large and dynamic social enterprise, with a long history of helping the business community create prosperity and opportunity in and around St Helens. The King’s Award is a testament to the work that the Chamber does to support local people through a range of business support and employment programmes.

Tracy Mawson, Chief Executive of St Helens Chamber, says: “I am immensely proud of this amazing achievement. As a social enterprise, promoting opportunities for local people is at the core of everything we do – so to be recognised for this on such a large scale is truly outstanding.”

The Award was given for the Chamber’s Fast Track to Apprenticeship Programme, which supports people aged 16-24 to develop their employability skills and ensures they are ready to take the first steps into employment.
