Ada is thrilled to have received the King’s Award for Enterprise for Promoting Opportunity (through social mobility), as its mission is to educate and empower the next generation of diverse digital talent. The achievement follows a successful partnership with Bank of America to deliver outreach and additional services that recruit and support young people from under-represented groups into Ada’s Sixth Form and Digital Degree Apprenticeship education programmes and onto aspirational careers in tech.

With around 800,000 tech jobs going unfilled every year, Ada seeks to fill the skills gap by ensuring young people are equipped with the skills the industry actually needs, empowering those from under-represented groups, including young women and people from low income and ethnic minority backgrounds.

Ada’s curriculum is designed in collaboration with industry partners who also volunteer in the classroom, delivering industry-led projects and intensive one-to-one coaching to build students’ confidence and help them access opportunities that might otherwise not be available.
