On 12th January 2023, two of Quality Bearings Online (QBOL) longest-serving employees, Liam Doyle (Business Development Executive) and Meghan Say (Digital Marketing Executive) accepted the official glassware trophy and signed scroll on behalf of the whole team. QBOL are a global distribution company which supplies ball bearings, engineering spares, and technologically advanced lubricants to customers in over 110 countries world-wide.

Held by more than 100,000 people with disabilities in the UK, the Access Card has vastly improved access for disabled people at events and venues both at home and abroad. Powered by ‘NOS’, Nimbus Disability’s bespoke software, the Access Card system translates its holder’s disability/impairment/access requirements into symbols highlighting the barriers they face. When booking tickets online, the Nimbus Operating System informs providers quickly and discreetly about the access requirements that individuals need without sharing further information about them with the venue.

Heritage Glasshouse and Greenhouse manufacturer Hartley Botanic was recognised in 2021’s prestigious Queen’s Awards for Enterprise. The award itself was presented April 2023 by the Lord Lieutenant for Greater Manchester. A very proud moment in the history of Hartley Botanic and outstanding recognition for the team.
FinTrU’s Executive Committee hosted His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant, Dame Fionnuala Jay O’Boyle, DBE DStJ, Mr Richard Jay BEM, Air Cadet Flight Sgt Bertie Turkington and Deputy Lieutenant, Ann McGregor at Meter House in Belfast. The company won the Queen’s Award for International Trade for ‘Outstanding Continuous Growth’ in overseas sales over the last six years. Headquartered in Belfast, FinTrU has rapidly expanded in recent years with additional global offices in Derry/Londonderry, New York, London, Dublin, Maastricht and Porto. Whilst presenting the award, His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant commented that the QAE presented to FinTrU is the only company in Belfast this year (in any category), and the first one for International Trade that she has ever presented since she became HMLL in 2014.
The Body Doctor presented with the Queen’s Award for Innovation for the second time. The Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire was welcomed by the team, suppliers, Mark Eastwood MP and brand ambassador, Dr. Hilary Jones. The Eye Doctor brand leads the way in eyecare, providing solutions for a variety of debilitating eye conditions. Local school children welcomed Ed Anderson with enthusiastic flag waving.

Innovation 2019: Laserwire Solutions On Thursday, 26th September 2019 Her Majesty The Queen’s royal representative, Lord Lieutenant Professor Peter Vaughan presented the Queen’s Award for Innovation to CEO, Dr Paul Taylor and his team at Laser Wire Solutions in recognition of the contribution the company is making in its technology niche of laser wire stripping and the benefits this technology delivers to the improvement of medical devices used in many life critical situations.
